Step 1: Prepare Your Data
Make sure your data is organized, usually like this:

Step 2: Select Your Data
- Click and drag to select the cells containing your data (including headers).
Step 3: Insert a Chart
- Go to the Insert tab on the Ribbon.
- In the Charts group, choose a chart type, e.g.:
- Column Chart
- Line Chart
- Pie Chart
- Bar Chart
- Click on the chart style you want.
Excel will insert the chart into your worksheet.
Step 4: Customize the Chart (Optional)
- Click the chart to activate the Chart Design and Format tabs.
- Add chart elements (titles, labels, legends).
- Change colors, styles, and layout.
Example: Create a Column Chart
If you select the example table above, go to Insert → Column Chart → choose Clustered Column.
You’ll see a chart showing values for categories A, B, C, and D.
