Preview worksheet pages before you print
To preview worksheet pages before printing in Excel, follow these steps:
✅ How to Preview Before Printing:
- Open your Excel worksheet.
- Press Ctrl + P
or
Go to File → Print - The right side of the screen will show a Print Preview:
- You can scroll through pages using the arrows at the bottom.
- It shows how your data will appear on each printed page — including page breaks, margins, headers, and orientation.
🛠 Useful Adjustments in Print Preview:
- Printer: Choose your printer at the top.
- Orientation: Switch between Portrait and Landscape.
- Margins: Click “Margins” → choose Normal, Wide, or Narrow, or customize.
- Scaling Options (under “Settings”):
- No Scaling – Default
- Fit Sheet on One Page
- Fit All Columns on One Page
- Fit All Rows on One Page
🔁 To Exit Print Preview:
- Click the back arrow in the top-left corner, or press Esc.
