Print rows with column headers on top of every page
To print column headers at the top of every page in Excel, use the “Print Titles” feature. Here’s how:
✅ Steps to Repeat Column Headers on Every Printed Page:
- Go to the worksheet you want to print.
- Click the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon.
- In the Page Setup group, click Print Titles.
- In the Page Setup dialog box:
- Look for the section called “Rows to repeat at top”.
- Click in that field, then select the row(s) with your column headers (usually Row 1).
- Example:
=$1:$1
- Example:
- Click OK.
🖨️ Check It:
- Press Ctrl + P to open Print Preview.
- Scroll to page 2 or beyond — your header row should appear at the top of each page.
💡 Notes:
- You can only repeat rows at the top (not columns at the side) using this method.
- You must be in Normal or Page Break Preview view to access Print Titles (not in Page Layout View).
