Print the top row on every page
To print the top row on every page in Excel (so your column headers appear on each printed page), follow these simple steps:
✅ Steps to Repeat the Top Row on Every Printed Page:
- Open your Excel worksheet.
- Go to the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon.
- In the Page Setup group, click Print Titles.
- In the Page Setup dialog box that appears:
- Find the “Rows to repeat at top” field.
- Click inside that field.
- Then click the row number on the left side of the worksheet (usually Row 1).
This will insert something like:$1:$1
- Click OK.
🖨️ To Preview:
- Go to File → Print (or press Ctrl + P).
- Scroll through the print preview — you’ll see the top row repeated on each page.
💡 Tip:
You can repeat multiple rows too — for example, =$1:$2 will repeat rows 1 and 2 on each page.
