Print the top row on every page

To print the top row on every page in Excel (so your column headers appear on each printed page), follow these simple steps:

✅ Steps to Repeat the Top Row on Every Printed Page:

  1. Open your Excel worksheet.
  2. Go to the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon.
  3. In the Page Setup group, click Print Titles.
  4. In the Page Setup dialog box that appears:
    • Find the “Rows to repeat at top” field.
    • Click inside that field.
    • Then click the row number on the left side of the worksheet (usually Row 1).
      This will insert something like:

      $1:$1

  5. Click OK.

🖨️ To Preview:

  • Go to FilePrint (or press Ctrl + P).
  • Scroll through the print preview — you’ll see the top row repeated on each page.

💡 Tip:

You can repeat multiple rows too — for example, =$1:$2 will repeat rows 1 and 2 on each page.
