Set a specific print area
To set a specific print area in Excel, so only a selected portion of your worksheet prints, follow these simple steps:
✅ Steps to Set a Print Area:
- Select the range of cells you want to print.
- Example:
A1:D25
- Example:
- Go to the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon.
- In the Page Setup group, click Print Area → then click Set Print Area.
- Done! Only the selected area will print.
🖨️ To Preview:
- Press Ctrl + P or go to File → Print.
- You’ll see only your selected range in the preview.
🔄 To Clear the Print Area:
- Go to Page Layout → Print Area → Clear Print Area.
➕ Bonus Tip: Set Multiple Print Areas (Optional)
If you select non-adjacent ranges (hold Ctrl while selecting), Excel will print each area on a separate page.
